What is Pelleting Machine?
Pelleting machine is generally used to compress small pieces of wood into pellets form, this kind of pelelt mill is just one part of pelleting equipment in the whole pelleting process, There are two types of pelleting machines: flat die pelleting machine and the ring die pelleting machine. The former is usually used to produce pellets on a small scale as a result this type of machine can be also described as falt die pellet mill or small pellet mill, the later, however always used to make wood pellets on a large scale so it can also be called ring die pellet mill. Flat die pelleting machines can be also described as small pellet mills, their compact structure enables themselves very convenient to be transported and operated, small wood pelleting machine become very popular pelletizing choice.

As we have mentioned before, pelleting machine is merely part of the whole pellet plant, in another word, pelleting is just one process in the whole pelelting process. In order to make wood pellets, other pelletizing machines need to be used such as chipper, hammer mill, dryer, cooler and the like, however, specific equipment are necessary depending on the raw material.
Firstly, you should change large materials into small pieces. During this process, you should use a chipper if the thickness of wood is larger than 10mm or the size is over 50 * 50mm, but if raw materials are small enough, you can directly jump to the second step. Secondly, Raw materials must be dried before producing into pellets as raw materials often have high moisture content and it should be reduced into 13%-15%. Third, after all have been prepared, you can enter into the pelleting process by using wood pelleting machines. Fourth, you need to cool you pellets down, you can let those pellets simply by spreading them out or you can use a cooler to help drying the wood pellets you have just pelleting. Last but not least, if you can not use the wood pellets at one time, you should properly pack them up for later use as wood pellets themselves would be useless in damp conditions.
