The process of pelleting consists of three parts: forcing a soft material through holes in a metal die plate, forming compacted pellets and cutting the compacted pellets into pre-determined size. The machinery which has been developed for this purpose is now very diverse in design and there is much controversy between different equipment manufacturers as to which type is the most effective. Most pellet mills now have one or more conditioning units mounted above them where liquids such as water can be added to improve pelletability. The water is sometimes added in the form of steam, resulting in firmer pellets.

Flat Die Pellet Mill
The PK series of Plane grinding granule feed machine can process the oil cake and other mixed waste material to granule at one time. And it is columned granule feed and have slippery firm. During the process of producing granule, the temperature can almost reach 70—80 centigrade. It can make fecula into paste. The inner granule is cooked and fully penetrated, and is not easy to go moldy and degenerative. Then it can be stored for a long time and improve poultry dainty and assimilation function. It also can shorten the period of feeding, so it can efficiently reduce many users’ productive cost.

For Wood Pellets
As we know, the original design of flat die pelleting presses are used for processing feedstuff. But through our client's feedback and diligent research, flat die pellet mill is able to be applied in processing wood sawdust, straw, different kinds of stalks, grass, etc. When process wood materials, whether it need add binder into it depends on the fiber content and resin content of raw material. Because the material need to have certain content of resin to bind them together. If the raw material have no enough resin content, little binder such as oil cake or fecula residue etc. During our several times tests, if add little binder into the material, the appearance of final pellets will become bright.
